So I added some new drupal modules to my site today. The ones I added are DHTML Menu, Backup and Migrate, and SimpleMenu.
These are my favorite modules because they make my life a million times easier. 1st - the DHTML menu makes it so easy to navigate through the administration links without having to reload all the pages. For any 1st drupal user, this is a must because going through all links to find the section you are looking for is very slow and unnecessarily difficult.
So this is my first blog entry. I'm pretty excited to start keeping a blog and hopefully I can actually keep one versus having only a start up blog where I delete several months later after not really using it.
Obviously the first couple of things I'll need to do for my blog is set it up so I can change fonts/colors easily as if I were using MS Word or something and also change the way this site looks. The Garland theme isn't Drupal's nicest looking theme.
So my site is finally up and running. I created an about page and I also created a blog page. I'll be using my blog page for the most part as the place where I will be posting my thoughts, ideas, etc. This page would only serve as a latest news section probably regarding this website only. So for example, if I were to create a photo gallery, I would probably talk about it in details in my blog, but put on this page whether the photo gallery is actually up and running.
Make sense?! I hope so.
